| Privacy Policy: Information collected by Route 66 Traffic School about its students
or others who use its website is stored in its database is kept secure and confidential, and is not released for public use. During or after enrollment, demographic, citation, insurance,
or billing information may be collected in order to meet course requirements mandated by a court or insurance company. Student activity in the course, including pageviews and performance
on course tests may also be recorded for this purpose. Under no circumstances will Route 66 Traffic School
distributes information gathered during courses to third parties for their own use. Third parties contracted by Route
66 Traffic School for services such as mail delivery or credit card processing are furnished with limited personally identifiable
information only for the purpose of providing those services, and are not authorized to store or use
them for any other reason. Some courts and insurance companies may be authorized by law to mandate course audits
by an authorized representative on occasion soley for the purpose of verifiying completion of course
requirements by a student. Route 66 Traffic School complies with the terms of such audits
if and only if it believes in good faith that they are legally required in order for the school
to issue a certificate for completion of the course.
For purposes of identifying individual students and tracking their progress through the course, cookies
may be issued by the Route 66 Traffic School website for storage on students' browsers. These cookies
will not contain any personally identifiable information. Route 66 Traffic School may send email notifications
to students at different times during and after completion of the course, but these will only be related to
services offered at the Route 66 Traffic School website, and may be related to services that the student has
registered for or requested. Route 66 Traffic School may gather statistics on the usage patterns of
site users that do not contain personally identifiable information and analyze them for its own use, or
share them with service providers or business partners in furtherance of its legitimate business.
At any time after enrollment and prior to shipment of a course certificate, a student who is logged in may view or
edit demographic or citation information on file by clicking on the "my account" button in the upper right hand corner
of the website. Under the same circumstances, a student may view or edit billing or shipping information on file by
clicking on the "shipping/payment info" button in the upper right hand corner of the website. After a certificate
has been shipped, if it is determined that the student's information on file must be changed (perhaps for
issuance of a copy of the certificate to another address or some other reason), the student will be required to
contact Route 66 Traffic School technical support by telephone or email in order to accomplish the change.
The effective date of this policy is August 1, 2005. Users of the website viewing the policy after this
date should check back periodically for changes. Any future changes to this policy will be posted here in the privacy
policy section of the Route 66 Traffic School website at least two weeks before they take effect.
